A man lost his life late Friday night after being struck by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene without stopping, Dallas police confirmed.
Officers were dispatched to the 8600 block of Skillman Street around 11 p.m. in response to reports of a crash involving a pedestrian. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary findings indicate the man was walking when an unknown vehicle struck him. The driver did not remain at the scene, and no witnesses have come forward publicly to identify the vehicle involved.
As of this report no arrests have been made in connection with the fatal incident. Investigators have not yet released a description of the suspect vehicle or any details about the direction it fled.
