A man survived a shooting along a Fort Worth freeway in the early hours of Sunday morning after a bullet grazed his head, according to local authorities.
Officers were called to the scene at 2250 East Loop 820 Freeway Southbound around 2:05 a.m. following reports of a shooting in the area.
When police arrived they located the victim and determined he had sustained a graze wound to the head. Despite the severity of the location of the injury the man was conscious and alert when emergency personnel transported him to a nearby hospital.
His current medical condition has not been confirmed by authorities as of this report.
Fort Worth police have not announced any arrests in connection with the shooting. No suspect description or additional information about a potential shooter has been made available to the public.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting including what led up to the incident remain under investigation. It is unclear whether the victim was inside a vehicle at the time or how the shooting unfolded along the busy freeway corridor.
