A large fire broke out early Friday morning at a well-known Dallas strip club, sending multiple fire crews scrambling to the scene in the pre-dawn hours.

Dallas Fire-Rescue units were dispatched to the Dallas Gentleman’s Club located at 2117 W Northwest Highway shortly before 3:30 a.m. The blaze quickly intensified, escalating to a second-alarm fire within minutes of the initial call.

As the fire grew in size and intensity, firefighters on scene shifted to a defensive posture, meaning crews pulled back and worked to contain the flames from the outside rather than attempting an interior attack. This approach is typically taken when a structure becomes too dangerous for firefighters to safely enter.

Several units responded to the scene to assist in battling the blaze. The full extent of the damage to the building has not yet been determined.

As of early Friday morning authorities had not confirmed whether anyone was injured in the fire. The cause of the blaze also remained unknown as investigators had not yet released any information pointing to a possible origin or source of ignition.

The Dallas Gentleman’s Club is a long-standing adult entertainment venue on W Northwest Highway in Dallas. The investigation into what sparked the fire is expected to continue as conditions at the scene allow.
