A 19-year-old man was shot and killed and two others were wounded early Sunday morning at a house party in North Fort Worth after an argument between two women escalated into a physical brawl and then gunfire, according to the Fort Worth Police Department. No arrests have been made.

Officers responded at approximately 12:30 a.m. to a shooting call in the 3700 block of North Houston Street. When officers arrived they found two victims at the scene with gunshot wounds. A third victim arrived separately at a local hospital by private vehicle, and police later connected that individual to the same incident after the person provided information about the location. All three had been shot at the party.

One of the victims, identified as 19-year-old Anthony Luis Rangel, was shot in the torso and forearm. He was transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The other two victims are expected to survive their injuries.

According to investigators, the shooting began when two women at the party got into an argument over one of the victims. Unknown suspects arrived at the scene and became involved in a physical altercation with one of the victims. One of the suspects pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots, striking all three victims before fleeing the scene. No suspect description has been released and no arrests have been announced.

A GoFundMe set up by the family of Rangel’s girlfriend described him as an innocent bystander who was there to celebrate his 18th birthday. “He had dreams, ambition, and a heart full of love for those around him. His family, friends, and especially my daughter Tierra are shattered by his loss,” the post reads.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Fort Worth Police Department at 817-392-4222 or submit an anonymous tip to Tarrant County Crime Stoppers at 817-469-8477 or 469tips.com.
