Dallas police are actively searching for a suspect following a triple shooting that unfolded Saturday afternoon in a southeast Dallas neighborhood, leaving three people injured and a community shaken.
Officers were dispatched to the 10200 block of Hillhouse Lane after reports of gunfire came in during the afternoon hours. When patrol units arrived at the scene, they found three individuals had been struck by gunfire.
Preliminary findings from investigators indicate that the shooter was known to the victims prior to the attack. The suspect had already fled the location before law enforcement personnel reached the area, complicating the initial response and prompting an active search.
Dallas Fire-Rescue units also responded to the scene and provided emergency medical care on site. Two of the three shooting victims were transported by ambulance to a local hospital and were listed in stable condition at the time of transport.
The third victim did not wait for emergency services and was taken to a hospital by private vehicle. The current medical status of that individual has not been publicly confirmed by authorities.
