A young child suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in the city of Fate, located in Rockwall County approximately 30 miles northeast of Dallas, fire officials confirmed.
The incident took place along the 1000 block of Smith Acres Road. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene following reports of a child being hit by a car.
Due to the severity of the child’s injuries, Fate Fire personnel coordinated an emergency medical airlift. CareFlite transported the child to a hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Authorities have not yet released the child’s age or identity. The extent of the injuries was described as serious, though no further medical updates have been made available to the public.
