A child was wounded in a shooting late at night at a Dallas apartment complex in the Cockrell Hill area, according to Dallas police.
Officers responded to the Woodglen Park Apartments near Camp Wisdom Road after reports of a shooting. Dallas Fire-Rescue units also arrived on scene at approximately 11:45 p.m.
A sergeant at the scene confirmed that a child had been struck by gunfire and sustained an injury to the leg. The child’s current condition has not been officially released by authorities.
Investigators discovered what appeared to be a bullet hole in the wall of one of the apartments at the complex. Video captured at the scene also showed what looked like a bullet hole on the exterior of one of the units.
Police have not announced any arrests in connection with the shooting and have not publicly identified any suspects. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
