A juvenile was rushed to a Dallas-area hospital Sunday morning after being struck by gunfire in a shooting that left police searching for an unidentified suspect.
Officers with the Dallas Police Department responded to the 3300 block of Bataan Street at around 4:53 a.m. following reports of a shooting in the area.
Upon arrival, responding officers confirmed that a juvenile had been shot by an unknown individual. The victim was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle rather than by emergency services.
The condition of the juvenile remains unknown at this time. Police have not disclosed the age of the victim as the investigation continues.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. Authorities are actively working to identify and locate the suspect responsible for the attack.
