An Irving police officer opened fire on a woman Saturday evening after she allegedly advanced toward officers wielding a knife during a domestic disturbance call on the city’s west side.
The incident unfolded around 5:50 p.m. in the 300 block of Rolston Road when officers arrived to find the woman standing in the middle of the street. She was holding a knife and reportedly making verbal threats toward those around her.
