A serious crash brought westbound Interstate 20 to a standstill in southern Dallas Monday afternoon, forcing authorities to close all lanes and sending traffic into gridlock across the area.

Dallas Fire-Rescue units were dispatched to the scene at approximately 5:06 p.m. after receiving multiple emergency calls. Initial reports indicate the incident involved a motorcycle striking a wall along the interstate.

Dallas police had not yet officially confirmed the details surrounding the crash as of early reporting. Fire-rescue personnel were actively working the scene as the investigation remained in its early stages.

Aerial footage captured by Texas Sky Ranger showed a massive traffic backup stretching for miles along the westbound corridor. The congestion extended from Highway 310 all the way back to Prairie Creek Road, leaving drivers stuck in a slow-moving standstill.

Motorists traveling westbound on I-20 through southern Dallas were urged to seek alternate routes and expect significant delays. The closure was causing ripple effects on surrounding roads as drivers attempted to detour around the shutdown.

Conditions at the scene were still developing and additional details regarding injuries or the number of vehicles involved had not yet been released by authorities.
