A 46-year-old Dallas man lost his life Friday evening after being stabbed in what police are now investigating as a homicide.
Dallas Police Department officers responded to a call for service in the 8500 block of Midpark Road at around 8:15 p.m. When they arrived on scene they located the victim, identified as Corey Brown, suffering from stab wounds.
Emergency responders transported Brown to a nearby hospital where medical staff were unable to save his life. He was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.
Investigators say the stabbing involved a known suspect, though no information regarding that individual has been made available to the public at this time. It remains unclear whether any arrests have been made in connection with the fatal attack.
The events leading up to the stabbing have not been confirmed and the investigation remains active and ongoing. Authorities have not disclosed a possible motive or any additional details about what occurred prior to the deadly confrontation.
