A 20-year-old man was shot and killed and several others were wounded early Wednesday morning outside a restaurant in DeSoto, police said, and no arrests have been made.
DeSoto Police Department officers responded at approximately 12:30 a.m. to a shooting in the parking lot of the 900 block of North Hampton Road, outside the Krab Kingz restaurant. First responders arrived to find multiple victims and immediately began providing medical aid before transporting them to area hospitals.
One victim, identified as 20-year-old Kyeler Hunter, died from his injuries at the hospital. The number of additional injured victims and their conditions have not been publicly released. Police have not provided information about a suspect description, the circumstances leading to the shooting, or a possible motive.
DeSoto police said they do not believe there is an immediate threat to the public. No arrests have been made as of Wednesday morning.
