Dallas police responded to an officer-involved shooting Friday morning in the Park Lane area, leaving a suspect at large and prompting an active search across the surrounding neighborhood.
Officers were dispatched to the 8500 block of Park Lane shortly after 7 a.m. following a call for service in the area. Upon arrival, at least one officer came into direct contact with the suspect, leading to an exchange that resulted in the officer discharging their weapon.
The suspect was not struck or was able to flee despite the shooting and escaped the immediate area on foot. No officers sustained injuries during the confrontation, according to the Dallas Police Department.
