Three teenagers were hospitalized in serious but stable condition after gunfire erupted at a teen party held inside a small event venue in Everman, a city in southern Tarrant County, late Saturday night, according to the Everman Police Department.

Everman Emergency Services received multiple calls reporting a shooting at an event venue in the 1800 block of Everman Parkway at approximately 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Officers arrived to find a large group of teenagers gathered at the location. Two victims suffering from gunshot wounds were found at the scene and transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance. A third victim later arrived at a separate Fort Worth hospital on their own.

Two of the three victims remain hospitalized in serious but stable condition. One has been released.

Law enforcement located a suspect vehicle nearby and detained several persons of interest, most of whom were juveniles. Multiple firearms were recovered at the time of the detentions. No arrests have been formally announced and no suspect identities have been released. Everman Police confirmed they will not identify any juveniles connected to the incident.

The Texas Rangers are assisting in the ongoing investigation. Forest Hill Police, Fort Worth Police and the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office were credited for their support at the scene.

“This is an unfortunate and unnecessary tragedy that is becoming all too common in our society,” Everman Emergency Services said in a statement posted on social media.
