North Texas soccer fans will get a rare close-up look at a FIFA World Cup national team this Saturday when Team Czechia holds a public community training session at Texas Health Mansfield Stadium, the only opportunity for fans to watch the Czech squad prepare before the tournament begins.

The training session is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, at Texas Health Mansfield Stadium in Mansfield, located between Dallas and Fort Worth. The session is expected to run until approximately 1:00 p.m. Attendees will be able to watch Team Czechia’s on-field training activities up close as the squad prepares for its World Cup opener.

Tickets were made available through a free lottery that closed on Sunday, May 31 at 11:59 p.m. Lottery winners are being notified today, Tuesday June 2, and will receive a designated window to claim their tickets. If any tickets remain unclaimed after the initial notification period, additional winners may be selected. Fans can still check the stadium’s official website at mansfield-stadium.com for any remaining availability.

This training session is the only public opportunity to see Team Czechia before it kicks off its FIFA World Cup 2026 schedule against South Korea on June 11 at Guadalajara Stadium in Guadalajara, Mexico. After 20 years away, the Czech national team has returned to the World Cup stage after defeating Denmark in a penalty shootout during the European qualifying playoffs in March 2026.

Mansfield Stadium serves as Team Czechia’s official Base Camp Training Site for the duration of the tournament. The Czech squad will use the facility as its primary training and operational headquarters throughout the entire World Cup, which runs from June 11 to July 19. Nine World Cup matches are scheduled at AT&T Stadium in nearby Arlington, making the DFW area one of the central hubs of the tournament.

Scott Norton, General Manager of Mansfield Stadium, expressed pride in hosting the national team. “It is an honor to serve as Team Czechia’s Base Camp Training Site, and we are thrilled to share this experience with our community. This Community Training Session gives fans a unique opportunity to see one of the world’s top national teams train in person and be part of the excitement surrounding FIFA World Cup 2026 here in North Texas.”

Pavel Nedvěd, General Manager of the Czech national team and former Ballon d’Or winner, said the squad is looking forward to connecting with the DFW community. “The community training session is always a great event, and we are looking forward to meeting the people from Dallas, which will become our home for a few weeks.”

Texas Health Mansfield Stadium is a brand new facility that opened this year and will also host North Texas Soccer Club matches throughout the summer, including an inaugural match against St. Louis City 2 on July 4 and additional games against LAFC2 and the Tacoma Defiance. FC Dallas will also host Club Querétaro at the stadium on August 5. For North Texas soccer fans, the World Cup training session on Saturday is a preview of what promises to be an active summer of live soccer in the region.
