A North Texas man is behind bars following a deadly multi-vehicle crash in Cross Roads that claimed the life of a 19-year-old woman last weekend.
The crash occurred Sunday night July 26 at the busy intersection of U.S. Highway 377 and U.S. Highway 380 in Cross Roads, a small town located in Denton County.
Cross Roads Police Department officers responded to the scene alongside personnel from the Little Elm Fire Department after receiving reports of a serious collision. Upon arrival, emergency crews found multiple victims requiring immediate medical attention.
A 19-year-old woman was found with life-threatening injuries and was transported by Little Elm Fire Department personnel to a nearby hospital. Despite efforts by medical staff to save her life, she did not survive her injuries.
Several additional individuals were also injured in the crash. Investigators later confirmed that a total of four vehicles were involved in the collision, making it a complex and chaotic scene for first responders to manage.
Following an investigation, Cross Roads police identified and arrested 33-year-old Jonathan Moses in connection with the deadly wreck.
