The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has released the identity of the 15-year-old boy who was killed during a violent drive-by shooting in a Southwest Fort Worth neighborhood. The victim, Prince Semaj Washington, was fatally wounded while inside a residence in the 6700 block of Glenbrook Lane.
The incident began at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, when multiple gunshots were fired from the street into the home. Washington was struck in the chest by the incoming rounds. Emergency medical teams rushed the teenager to a nearby hospital for urgent care, but he was tragically pronounced dead at 2:22 a.m., less than an hour after the attack occurred.
Fort Worth homicide detectives have been working the scene to determine a motive and identify the vehicle used in the assault. As of Sunday, April 5, authorities have not announced any arrests or released descriptions of potential suspects. The community remains on high alert as the investigation continues into what led to this targeted act of violence.
